Dear Mum,

You must know that the well-roundedness of me,
I owe it all to you.

When my loud music annoyed your ears,
I was analyzing reverberation and acoustics.

When I broke your all expensive china,
I was testing air resistance vs. gravity.

When you talked and I didn't appear to listen,
I was attempting yoga and meditation.

When I expressed my side in our many arguments,
I was practicing logic and debate.

When I fit my wedding dress despite your many warnings,
I was favoring science over superstition.

When I hid your loud floral living room curtains,
I was mastering the art of interior design.

When my Dear Mom posts flood your inbox,
It's just me. Missin' you.
